Beach Tennis is Tennis re-imagined. It is all-volley Tennis, most commonly played on a Beach Volleyball court with a lower net. It is much easier to learn to play than traditional Tennis. Beginners can start volleying effectively within minutes and anyone who has ever played kadima or badminton can start playing Beach Tennis immediately. Scoring is no-ad Tennis scoring and a point is won when the ball hits the ground or is hit out-of-bounds.
Beach Tennis takes the sport away from its country club roots and firmly plants it where the fun is. The sport is hyper social and is played in groups as 2-on-2 (best for advanced players), 3-on-3 (best for intermediate players & social fun) and 4-on-4 (best for beginners & parties with friends and family).
While Beach Tennis is most commonly played on sand, the sport is not limited to beach communities or warm weather play. Beach Tennis can be played in any season and on any surface - grass, har-tru, hardwood and even on snow!! The portability and flexibility of Beach Tennis court set-up makes the sport more accessible than traditional tennis - Beach Tennis is as easily played in a backyard as it is on a beach.
